JANICE MCDERMOTT, M.ED, MSW Co-creator of Grand Ideas from Within, received her Masters in Education ('75) and Masters in Social Work ('86) from Louisiana State University and developed the therapeutic model, “A Sacred Trust: the Inner-child” (’89). She taught secondary Language Arts classes for 17 years, was designated by LSU College of Education as an Instructor of Student Teachers, and as a Senior Instructor in the Louisiana State Teacher Professional Improvement Program. She is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in Alabama. Certified as a Master Neurolinguistics Practitioner, a Gestalt therapist,  a School Social Work Specialist,  she supervises master level social workers for clinical licensure, provides one-on-one coaching, and is a consultant for education systems, hospitals, and churches. Janice presented at the Denver, Colorado National Association for Rural Mental Health, Annual Conference, "Innovations in Caring for Rural America" (2010).
